Hello,
I got a problem with the recent version of Unreal Engine 4. I created a new 2D Sidescroll Blueprint project, worked for ~3h on this project and wanted to shipp hit for testing. while packing Avira Antivir popped up with the message that “TR/Dropper.Gen8” was found in the game exe file that is located in the Intermediate folder. Antivir blocked this file, copying failed and so packing also.
This occured on a PC with a complete clean setup (reinstalled everything ~4 days ago), the PC it self is total clean (check multible times with several anti virus and maleware software.)
I disabled Antivir and was able to pack the game and it’s working. Copying the packed files to another PC instantly alerts Antivir with the same message of the game.exe. Scanning the file instead with Avira Antivir and nothing found.
[Checked on virus total and only Avira got an alert (1/57).][1]
I’m extremly sure this is a false alert. But it occures only in this project, other UE 4.13 projects are shipped without any problems.
But this Project is the only one that is set as low poly 3D/2D Game and shipped with Development settings (with .pak). Assets are only some basic shapes I created on this PC with Photoshop and 4 basic sounds which are also included in other projects. So there is no a virus can get into the Project.
Creating a new Project and migrating all Assets to it caused the same problems.
I’m almost 100% sure this is a false alert but you maybe should look at this. Could be a big problem shipping a real game and some virus software triggers a false alert and all are screaming like hell for nothing
[Here you can download the exe in a .zip file to check it.][2]
