Sphere mesh with HDR material not getting shadows

Hi,

I’ve currently set up a hemisphere static mesh and applied a HDR material to it as a background, but it doesn’t get any lighting baked to the inside. The normals are facing inwards and it has a second UV channel for lightmaps but still nothing. If I put a ground plane underneath the car, the lighting does bake on to that but not the bottom of the hemisphere mesh itself.

What do I need to do to get the lighting to bake onto the meshes surface?

Thanks

You have to add skylight and assign your hdr map to it

I have tried that. I may have not done it correctly maybe. Here are two screenshots. The first shows my HDR map plugged into the skylight. Is this incorrect? You can see in the other image that my lighting bakes to the geometry underneath.

Thanks
